Description of Sessions

On Monday evenings from 18:30 – 20:00 we run adult gymnastics sessions, working hard on physically preparing the body and improving core Gymnastics skills.

Our adult gymnastics session is a friendly personal structured class with the  focus on fun and fitness, that is achievable and inclusive of all abilities and ages 16+. We lead our sessions with integrity and leadership, and everyone is welcome.

Starting with a warm up at 18.30 upstairs in the dance studio, at 19.00 we move downstairs to the main gymnasium for basic floor skills, and apparatus. When you feel confident to move up to more advances skills, we can help you by assigning a partner who will be a great role model, and assist you with innovative setups to enable your progression along side a qualified coach. We can safely help you  learn a forward roll to a  handstand to cartwheels, and if you mission is to handspring we are here to support you in achieving your quest through hard work and lots of fun.

So pop along and be inspired!

Please contact Jacque or Gemma for more information.

Children participate in a range of exercises , the sessions are based on a thematic approach and gym tots are supported by their carers. This session allows children to explore the fundamental building blocks of movement, balance and co-ordination in a fun, safe environment.

This session is an extension of Pre-School and is aimed at children who are ready to work in a more independent setting whilst fun is still the focus. Parents are not actively involved in the session but can be on hand for additional support in the early stages.

Each gymnast is in an appropriate group and their coach will work with their individual ability level during their session. Our programme each week is geared towards all aspects of gymnastics. Not only do we strive to teach them important skills and get them excited for what’s next, but we make sure they are having a good time learning!

Gymnastics is a core sport and discipline that conditions the whole body. Mentally and physically providing a spring board for all sports.

Gymnastics skills cover flight, rotation, static, balances.  Gymnastics whilst being lots of fun is interactive and social with lots of rewards. It boosts co ordination, flexibility, strength, power and endurance.

Elements included interactive displays at Christmas and out in our community. All gymnasts work towards British Gymnastics proficiency awards and badges. Our club offers competitive opportunities at school, club, county and regional level.

Recreational classes are based on a General Gymnastics approach that is fun, challenging, increases cardiovascular fitness levels and is fundamental for a child’s growth and  development. Gymnastics is a great way to keep your child fit and energised!

A more challenging group for those girls & boys that may choose a competitive route in floor & vault or for those boys wanting to develop in novice mens artistic. These sessions are perfect for teaching your children focus, self-discipline and skills that can assist with their learning and concentration. These classes are aimed at providing fun, fitness, co-ordination, as well as developing strength and flexibility.

British Gymnastics has adopted a termFreestyle Gymnastics to describe a new and rapidly developing activity which incorporates aspects of other popular activities such as Parkour, Free Running and Urban gymnastics, linked together with martial arts kicking links.

Freestyle is an exciting form of  gymnastics offered to our members aged  11+ . Gymnasts take ownership of their sessions and become their own health and safety experts . With coaches available to offer technical knowledge and support,  the participants generate a dynamic movement that is a kin to Parkour and Free Running.

Our sessions for Young Adults combine advanced Gymnastic skills with progressions and set ups within a GymKore programme.

“True enjoyment comes from activity of the mind and exercise of the body; the two are ever united”
